Oluwole Oshin, serving as the Chairman, is an esteemed industry leader with over 30 years of experience. Throughout his illustrious career, he has contributed significantly to various sectors, notably serving on the Presidential Committee on Pension Reforms and holding key positions such as Chairman of the Nigerian Insurers Association and Council Member of the African Insurance Organization. His expertise extends to external lecturing at the West African Insurance Institute in Banjul, The Gambia. Additionally, Mr. Oshin sits on several prestigious Boards including the International Insurance Society (IIS), New York, and the Nigerian Insurers Association. He is also an Advisory Board Member of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, UK. Recognized for his outstanding leadership, Mr. Oshin has received numerous accolades, including a nomination for “African CEO of the Year” by the African Reinsurance Corporation and the Harvard Business School Association of Nigeria (HBSAN) Leadership Award for General Management. He joined the Board of the Company on 5th January 2021 and assumed the role of Chairman on 13th January 2021.
Odunayo Ojo serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, bringing a wealth of experience in real estate development, asset management, private equity, and advisory services across various asset classes. With a career spanning several prestigious roles, including CEO of Alaro City, Director of Development and Projects at Eagle Hills Abu Dhabi, Development Director at Laurus Development Partners, Vice President at Ocean and Oil Holdings, and Business Manager at UPDC Plc, Odunayo has demonstrated expertise in leading diverse projects. He is a member of esteemed professional bodies such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), The Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV), and is a Registered Surveyor and Valuer (RSV). He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Estate Management.
Bidemi Fadayomi, as the Development Director, brings over 19 years of extensive experience in real estate spanning Africa and the UK. Her expertise lies in residential, mixed-use, and commercial real estate markets. Prior to her tenure at UPDC, she held pivotal roles including Head of Real Estate Asset Development at Argentil Asset Management Limited, VP of Real Estate at Avante Property Asset Management Services, Project Manager at Trench Farrow, UK, and Project Architect at Aedas Architects UK. Bidemi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Architectural Studies from the University of Wales, Cardiff. She was appointed as an Executive Director of the Company on 28th July 2022, and she contributes her expertise to the Board Finance, Investment and Operations Committee and the Board Risk, Audit and Compliance Committee.
Folashope Aiyesimoju, a Non-Executive Director, brings a wealth of experience in finance, corporate finance, principal investing, and private equity. He holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Estate Management from the University of Lagos and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. He founded Themis Capital Management, focusing on high-potential opportunities in Sub-Saharan Africa, after gaining valuable experience with leading global firms such as Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Standard Bank Group. Mr. Aiyesimoju also serves as the Group Managing Director of UAC of Nigeria PLC and chairs the Board Risk, Audit and Compliance Committee while contributing to other committees within UPDC PLC.
Adeniyi Falade, another Non-Executive Director, is a distinguished Chartered Accountant, Chartered Stockbroker, and Investment Banker with a rich professional background. His career spans leadership positions in various reputable organizations, including Custodian Investment PLC, where he currently serves as the Group Executive Director. Mr. Falade’s academic credentials include a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Warwick and a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) from the University of Ibadan. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Stockbrokers of Nigeria. Mr. Falade’s directorial roles extend beyond UPDC PLC, encompassing several companies where he provides invaluable insights and guidance. He was appointed as a Director of the Company on 5th January 2021 and chairs the Board Finance, Investment and Operations Committee while actively participating in other key committees.
Oyekunle Osilaja, a seasoned Non-Executive Director, boasts an extensive background in international real estate and financial services, spanning over 35 years. His career highlights include serving as the Group Head of Real Estate for Ecobank Transnational Inc (ETI) and holding significant positions at Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL) in the UK. Oyekunle’s expertise encompasses various facets of real estate finance and advisory, contributing to notable projects globally. He currently chairs the Board Remuneration & Governance Committee and is a member of several other committees within UPDC PLC. Additionally, he holds directorial roles in esteemed organizations such as EDC Securities Ltd and Eko Atlantic City Management Co Ltd. Oyekunle was appointed as a Director of the Company on 10th January 2021, bringing his wealth of experience to the strategic direction of UPDC PLC.
