Folakemi is the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at UPDC Plc. A transformation expert, she has over 19 years of experience in Consumer Markets, Telecommunications, Real Estate, Agriculture, and the Public sector for some of the world and Nigeria’s top companies such as KPMG Professional Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Prior to her appointment as the CFO of UPDC in March 2019, Folakemi was Non-Executive Director of Devonsley Limited and Transformation Expert at Purssion Limited. Folakemi also held the position as bwPrincipal Consultant at Purssion Limited and worked in Advisory Finance and Accounting at PwC.

Before that, Folakemi worked at Honeywell Group Limited as its Enterprise Control &Compliance Manager. As Executive Director & CFO at UPDC Plc, she leads the Risk & Compliance, Procurement, Information Technology, and Finance teams.

Folakemi earned a BSc in Engineering Physics from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife and an MBA from Manchester Business School, Manchester, UK. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and is currently studying for a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the International School of Management, France.
