Company Secretary

Folake is the Company Secretary at UPDC Plc. A seasoned legal expert, she has over 26 years of experience in the legal profession.

Before her appointment as UPDC’s Company Secretary/Legal Adviser in May 2017, Folake was the Head of the Legal department in the company when she joined in 2009.

Prior to the role Folake also held the position as the Contracts & Drafting Manager in 2013 – a role that saw her responsible for negotiating, preparing and vetting agreements in all their ramification on behalf of UACN Group. Before that, she worked with the firms – Bolaji Ayorinde (SAN) & Co and Rickey Tarfa (SAN) & Co – where she cut her teeth in legal practice.

She earned an LLB from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in 1993, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1995. She also holds an LLM from the University of Lagos.
