Victoria Mall Plaza (VMP) is a four-phase mixed use development on Bishop Aboyade Cole Street in Victoria Island, a major ingenuous player in commercial real estate space in Nigeria. In 2009, UPDC began with Phase 1 of VMP, which was a residential development that was completed in 2010. The tower was occupied by Mobil for a few years, however, they relocated in 2015. Phase 2, which is an office development, now anchored by KPMG, was completed the year after. Phase 3 of VMP is large, and it includes a retail and office elements as well as a car park and an event centre. The 519 bay car park and 1,587m2 event centre will be built first and piling works for this started earlier this year, while the retail section and offices will follow afterwards. The retail element of phase 3 will offer flexible retail shops and a food court while the offices will be a modern 15 floor office block. Phase 4 is a prime parcel of bare land with building approvals in place for a mixed-use residential development. The site is ideally positioned next to VMP3 and KPMG’s head office building and is in close proximity to several banks, hotels, retail and entertainment facilities. The secure and fenced site is zoned for mixed-use, up to 25 floors.
